In the beginning Funhouse started as a company under ABC Amusements, our street games amusements run back in 1982.
Our family business took pride in putting the latest video, gun games and pinball machines into small video & convenience stores, as this had never been done before locally. Our family business grew enough over the next 4 years to start Funhouse Family Entertainment Centre’s in 1986, with humble Arcade beginnings we opened our first store in Toowoomba, as we progressed Funhouse then opened a store in Ipswich one year later.

Soon after, we opened our next store in Garden City Shopping Centre, Upper Mount Gravatt in Brisbane, today called Westfield Shopping Centre. With years of knowledge under our belts we continued to expand throughout Brisbane and the Tweed regions.

Finally changing our strategy in the ever changing market place which saw some of our stores sold and the remaining Funhouse stores have since flourished.

To provide the highest quality new coin-operated amusement games that appeal to a wide range of aged groups, including a safe place for families that can come and enjoy every moment inside Funhouse amusement retail shops.

Our Funhouse staff understand communication, with our environment and culture is very important to us with our staff, that is a dynamic mix of personalities who work passionately at their craft and we make it our business to learn and understand our customer’s requirements, so we inspire each other as a team of creative thinkers to find innovative ways to exceed our customers’ expectations.

Now with more than 40 years of experience in the amusement centre, leisure and entertainment industry, we offer our customers a service that no other Family Entertainment Centre can match.

Funhouse offers a great selection of the latest video games where a challenge is never far away, with our world-class ticket redemption games to win tickets on. Again Funhouse introduced an “Australian First”, a unique way for the whole family to save their tickets for prizes they always wanted but could never get.

With a large variety of awesome prizes available that includes novelty items up to DVD Players, Nintendo’s, Playstation’s, Xbox’s, Apple, TV’s and Major Electrical Appliances.

Currently we have 4 Funhouse stores, Sunnybank Plaza – Sunnybank, Westfield Shopping Centre Carindale, Myer Centre Brisbane – CBD and Tweed City Shopping Centre – Tweed. At Funhouse we cater for Birthday Parties and Corporate Events with discounts on offer in all of our stores.

With our head office at Eagle Farm, our family business currently employ over 50 staff, between the stores, where we have a full workshop facilities for arcade game repairs and refurbishment plus we sell new and used equipment.
